GIA MORA, a.k.a. Einstein’s Girl, is a multifaceted performer and writer. She brings her unique blend of brains and beauty to her work on screen and stage and now as the newest artist signed to Modern Songbook Records.
Miz Mora is known for her work on True Detective, Impress Me, and Castle, among others, as well as several national commercials and independent films. She has an extensive theatre resume, having received four Helen Hayes nominations, and she has performed with companies including Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth, the Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theatre, and Shakespeare Theatre Company.
Miz Mora’s critically acclaimed one-woman show, Einstein’s Girl, has played to sold out houses on both coasts and continues to tour the country. She is a third-generation jazz musician and frequently appears with her father, guitarist Rick Chinisci. Modern Songbook Records released Einstein’s Girl, The Album in 2013, and her newest album, Gia Mora Sings Charlie Barnett, was released in 2015.
At age 19, Miz Mora graduated summa cum laude, with departmental honors in Screenwriting/Playwriting, from the University of Colorado. In 2009, she received a diploma in Italian Language and Culture from the University of Pisa. She has also studied at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver.
When she’s not working, Miz Mora is a “wannabe theoretical physicist,” promoting STEAM education and science literacy with the screen sirens for science, Scirens. She also serves on the board of the SoCal Science Café. Miz Mora loves debating politics, chatting green living, and snuggling her two adopted kitties.
